Stop Steve Reed’s Silence
Steve Reed is the MP for Streatham and Croydon North and the Secretary of State for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs. As a key figure within the Labour Party, he publicly condemned the cruelty of foie gras production and promised that, under a Labour government, its import would be banned. Yet, more than six months have passed, and we are still waiting for action.
Meanwhile, thousands of ducks and geese continue to suffer, and Steve remains silent. Worse still, the UK Government is considering a deal that could allow even more cruel products like foie gras to flood our market.
The time to act is now – ducks and geese can’t wait any longer.
You can help by sending a pre-filled email to Steve Reed MP, urging him to keep his promise and use his power to stop the importation of foie gras made by force-feeding once and for all. All you need to do is:
- Enter your name, surname, and email address in the fields below.
- Enter a unique subject line avoiding the words ‘foie gras’ or ‘force-feeding’ – we don’t want this email being filtered out!
- Select your email provider (e.g., Gmail, Hotmail, etc.), and a pre-written email will open, ready to send.
- If you are one of Steve’s constituents residing in Streatham or Croydon North, ensure you include your address after your name – this may increase the chances of him responding!
- If you can, add a personal touch to your message. Politicians want to hear from you, not just us, and personal messages are more impactful.
- And, remember to always keep your message polite!
Let’s make sure Steve has no choice but to answer the cries of ducks and geese. Send your message today!
