How does The matching Gift PROCESs work?

If you decide to make an extra one-off donation today, the donor will make the exact same donation as you, which means you’ll be able to give twice as much to help animals.

Let me give you an example:

• You make a £20 donation.
• The donor will make the same £20 donation, at no extra cost to you.

That’s a total of £40 going to help animals!

What about monthly donations?

The anonymous donor has also kindly pledged to match all monthly donations to Animal Equality today, and will match them for an entire year.

Since you already so generously give to animals each month, the donor would instead match any additional monthly increase.

Let’s take an example:

• You decide to give an additional £5 each month.
• Every month when your donation is made, the donor will match the additional amount given – in this example £5 – and will do this for 12 months at no extra cost to you.

That means an extra £60 will be donated, on top of your kind gifts too, to help animals!

If you want to increase your existing monthly donation amount, the best thing to do is set up a new one for the additional amount, whilst keeping your old one active – no need to cancel your existing monthly gift. Just make sure you select ‘make a monthly donation’ at the top of the donate page.

How will I know my donation has been matched?

This is what will happen when you make your extra donation:

• You’ll receive an email from Animal Equality confirming we’ve received your donation.
• Your new donation will be submitted to the anonymous donor who will make the same donation as you.
• You’ll continue to receive updates from our team on the progress your donation is having for animals.
