Who is Gloria?
Gloria is a remarkable chicken who was rescued from a dire situation on an intensive chicken farm in Devon. She was discovered among bins filled with dead chickens by Animal Equality’s investigators in May 2016. Despite being cold and weak, Gloria was the only survivor found among the lifeless bodies. She was lovingly cared for by one of the investigators and after receiving medical treatment and nourishment, she thrived and transformed from a fragile creature into a vibrant, curious, and playful chicken with striking white feathers and bright, glistening eyes.
Each time we sit down to eat, we hold the power to save animals like Gloria.
