Sickening scenes of animal suffering exposed on farm supplying international sausage brand El Pozo
Animal Equality, in collaboration with the Spanish TV programme Salvados, investigated Hermanos Carrasco, a pig farm located in Spain’s Murcia region and supplier of the international meat company El Pozo. We discovered animals in grotesquely cruel conditions, in violation of the law, suffering for days and weeks on end.

Pigs deformed by giant hernias and abscesses, severely infected ulcers, cannibalism, dead animals in a state of putrefaction next to those who are still alive… all apparently without veterinary care.
This farm is a scandal of negligence in the face of severe animal suffering. But in addition, these diseased animals could be sent to the slaughterhouse and the parts considered “fit for human consumption” used in El Pozo products.
We are calling on Morrisons and Amazon UK to remove all El Pozo products immediately and replace with plant-based alternatives.
