Marching for change: a sunny day of solidarity and action

Animal Equality UK recently attended the National Animal Rights March in London on 17th August and it was a truly inspiring day. The sun was shining, spirits were high, and our team was right in the thick of it, making a strong stand for the animals.

Flying the flag (literally)

We arrived with our Animal Equality banner, flags, and placards, all fully decked out in our Animal Equality t-shirts. It was fantastic to be joined by some of our dedicated Animal Protectors – Martyn, Stef, Wai-man, Faraz, and many more – who marched proudly alongside us. It was great to meet our supporters in person and feel that collective energy as we marched from Marble Arch to Parliament Square. The atmosphere was incredible, with everyone united for a common cause.

Spreading the word (and some tasty recipes)

One of the highlights of the day was handing out our Love Veg cookbooks to onlookers and engaging in some really meaningful conversations about plant-based living. It’s always rewarding to see people take an interest and realise how easy and impactful it can be to make a change. We had some great discussions and encouraged passersby to start their own plant-based journey.

We also connected with fellow advocates during the march, exchanging ideas and strengthening the bonds within our community. It was energising to share our passion with like-minded individuals.

Reflecting after the march

After the march, we gathered together to share what it is that drives us to dedicate our time, energy and resources to the animal advocacy movement. 

Overall, the day was filled with positivity, passion, and a strong sense of purpose. Whether you joined us in person or supported us from afar, thank you. Your involvement makes all the difference, and together, we’re making strides towards a kinder world for animals.
