On the 14th of October, Animal Equality will launch a campaign to speak up for one of the most abused animals on the planet.
We’ll be kicking things off with a loud and energetic protest in London.
Millions of lives hang in the balance.
Over one billion chickens are farmed and slaughtered for human consumption each year in the UK. The vast majority of these are Frankenchickens, whose bodies have been built to prioritise profit over welfare.
Made to grow far too big, far too fast, millions suffer from lameness. Their legs break, they have heart attacks, and millions perish on farms.
Many years ago, one company promised to stop profiting from this extreme cruelty. Eight years later, it has broken that promise. The animals cannot wait any longer, and neither will we.
